Integrated IP Video and Digital Signage Solutions

Exterity, a leading provider of IP video and digital signage technologies, will highlight how it enables stadiums and arenas to harness the power of video to engage, inform and entertain people attending live events. Exterity enables stadium operators to stream live footage and action replays to any number of TVs, LED screens and mobile devices, integrating with digital signage, scoreboards and perimeter displays across the stadium, arena or venue.

The company will again be exhibiting at this year’s Summit, highlighting how its solutions help maximise revenue from integrated merchandising and concession advertising; improve team performance with recorded video for post-match analysis; and integrate with point of sale, ticketing and queuing systems.

Exterity systems are also deployed to create a personalised viewing experience for guests in VIP and hospitality areas with on-screen branding, tailored services and screen-based ordering.

“For many stadiums and venues, ticket sales only make up a certain percentage of overall income: increasingly, we are seeing the spend per visitor through food, beverage and merchandise purchases emerge as a significant contribution to revenue,” said Colin Farquhar, Exterity’s Chief Executive Officer. “Digital screens are a pivotal tool today for capturing the attention of fans and attendees throughout an entire venue, and are used to display practical way-finding and safety information, but increasingly to drive revenue through venue and third-party advertising alongside live stream content.”

“In this era of fully connected venues, we are looking towards a future in which consumer engagement at events will be powered by digital technology,” Farquhar notes. “The rise of IP and other emerging technologies is key in enabling stadiums to deliver more engaging experiences across the entire campus, from the concourse and hospitality areas to team shop, press rooms and track- or pitch-side hotels, while increasing revenue.”
