What are the most exciting developments in the field of venue design/development? or What are the key drivers behind your project?
Managing and organising venues for live performances is a constant challenge and a fascinating job because you always have to anticipate the needs of both artists and the audience. It’s an ongoing challenge, especially when the goal is to provide high-quality and innovative services. We have taken on the challenge of creating high-performance and comfortable spaces equipped with the latest technologies inside tent structures. These tensile structures are fitted with top-tier services and designed with special care to accommodate different audiences. For instance, in the backstage area, we’ve added a gym, five-star dressing rooms, laundry services, showers, and a small bistro for artists and crew, including a private lounge for the performers.
For the audience, we’ve created extra-comfortable seats, bathrooms for children, nursing chairs, a varied food and drink selection that caters to dietary restrictions, free device charging stations, and we even offer simultaneous sign language translation at some performances. Organizing and delivering these services requires continuous effort and attention to the needs of both the audience and the artists.
The key drivers behind our project are curiosity, the blending of different cultures, the desire to innovate, and our passion for this work. Above all, seeing our work being appreciated gives us wings.
What’s in the pipeline for ZED Entertainment over the next six to 12 months?
Our projects for the next 6 to 12 months involve recreating this model in other venues. In fact, we have already started working internationally, specifically in Madrid, where we are transforming a cinema into a theater—the Capitol Theatre of Madrid.
This model allows us to offer artists the same quality standards in other spaces we manage. It also provides multicultural interaction, which has been one of our main objectives for some time now. This means building artistic and cultural bridges between various realities and, of course, enriching our offerings.
Our venues also offer both all-seated capacity with clear visibility from every seat and standing capacity, with an upper section where we can host other musical genres. We are replicating this same model in Madrid.
What are you most looking forward to about the Design & Development Summit 2024?
The Design and Development Summit 2024 is a unique, unmissable, and exciting opportunity to connect, stay updated, and, most importantly, exchange ideas and proposals for our venues, all with a forward-looking perspective.
Explore exciting possibilities with Valeria and hundreds of other venue sector leaders, exclusively at #TDS24 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester on December 2-4.
